After witnessing his own death at the Mahakal temple in the Manikarnika Ghat, the SPH JGM HDH Bhagavan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam realized his oneness with Lord Vishwanatha. He subsequently went on to expand the Kashi Sarvajnapeeta and spread the science of experiencing the quality of Sarvajnatva (all-knowing) through becoming one with the state, space, and powers of Paramashiva from the epicenter at Kashi to all the peoples of the world.
The Kashi Sarvajnapeetha represented by the glorious lineage of incarnations and the greatest masters of Sanatana Hindu Dharma was supported by many kings and philanthropists who built and maintained the temples and sponsored their activities to serve the Peetha and its disciples seeking sarvajnatva, liberation, throughout history starting from Prajapathi Daksha to the rulers of modern times such as Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar, Raja Devanandan Mukherjee, and others.
Sri Liladhar Swarup alias Mahakalananda, the Peethadheeshwar of Kashi Sarvajnapeetha, was a Brahmachari (celibate monk) who had a spiritual intuition that in the future the Ultimate Embodiment of Superconsciousness of Paramashiva would incarnate on this planet in Tiruvannamalai, a town in Southern India, and be known to the world by the name of Nithyananda who would revive Hinduism worldwide and that he should be the inheritor of Sri Liladhar Swarup and his contributions.
Sri Liladhar Swarup, cognizing the possibility that he may not live to see the happening of Nithyananda, made a will stating that he did not want any controversy after his lifetime about the ownership of the Manikarnika Ghat building and divested it with the Manikarnika Sevashram Sanstha Kashi, with the condition that the Peetha should be handed over to Sri Nithyananda. Sri Liladhar Swarup alias Mahakalananda, who as Peethadheeshwar used to manage the Mahakala Temple, before his demise appointed the Mahamandaleshwar of Atal Akhada Shree Sukhdevanandaji, His Holiness Sri Tiruchi Mahaswamigal of Sri Kailash Ashrama Mahasamsthana and His Holiness Acharya Sri Vishwadevanandji, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar of Mahanirvani Akhada as the guardian Peethadheeshwars and custodians of the Kashi Sarvjanapeetha and the monastery at Manikarnika Sevashram Sanstha and also appointed Radheshyam Khemka as a Trustee with the condition that they hand over the Peetha to the future incarnation of Paramashiva, the SPH JGM HDH Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam. Khemka, as per the wishes of Sri Liladhar Swarup, appointed the SPH JGM HDH Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam as the Peethadheeshwar on 16th June 2008 in a grand public ceremony and appointed his disciples as Trustees to manage the affairs of the Kashi Sarvajnapeetha.
For the past two decades, the Sanstha situated in the Manikarnika Ghat in conjunction with the Nithyananda Peetha and the Nithyananda Sanyasis of the Kashi Sarvajnapeetha has been spreading the science of third eye awakening and experiencing and expressing the powers of Sarvajnatva through its various classes and other activities.
